International Day of Women Judges
- Every year on March 10, the International Day of Women Judges recognizes all female judges who have led the fight against social injustice.
- The significance of the day and its history are discussed below. On this significant day, women judge in international legal institutions should also be honored.
- It is a day that serves as a symbol for the struggle for gender equality, equal access to opportunities, and the end of gender-based discrimination, which is still prevalent in all facets of society.
Xi Jinping starts third term as China’s president.
- After receiving unanimous support from the 2,977 members of the National People's Congress (NPC), Xi Jinping began an unprecedented third term as China's president.
- Over the next five years, Xi will lead a carefully selected party and government team tasked with guiding the world's second-largest economy through domestic and international challenges.
World Kidney Day 2023
- World Kidney Day is a day set aside each year on the second Thursday in March to raise awareness about kidney health. This year, it will be remembered on March 9, 2023.
- It is being worked on jointly by the International Federation of Kidney Foundations-World Kidney Alliance (IFKF-WKA) and the International Society of Nephrology (ISN).
- The day has been checked yearly beginning around 2006 and is critical since it advances everybody's renal wellbeing.
Indian Navy conducts major exercise TROPEX-23.
- The "Theatre Level Operational Readiness Exercise for 2023" (TROPEX-23) by the Indian Navy reached its conclusion in the Arabian Sea after running for four months from November 2022 to March 2023.
- Over 75 aircraft, six submarines, and approximately 70 ships from the Indian Navy participated in TROPEX-23.
- The Navy's ability to transition from peacetime to hostilities is the subject of multiple phases of TROPEX.
- On January 12-13, 2021, the Indian Navy carried out the first phase of the coastal defense exercise known as "Sea Vigil" all along India's coastline and island territories.
- This exercise was designed to verify the country's coastal defense system, which was completely overhauled following the 26/11 terror attacks in Mumbai.
Indonesia moving its capital from Jakarta to Borneo
- Indonesia is good to go to move its capital from Jakarta to Borneo over ecological issues, for example, being clogged, sinking into seawater, and being inclined to tremors.
- The new city, according to officials, will be a "sustainable forest city" that puts the environment first and will be carbon neutral by 2045.
- The new capital, according to Indonesian President Joko Widodo, will serve as a "nostrum for the problems in Jakarta, which will also allow the country to start afresh."
54th CISF Raising Day
- To commemorate the CISF's founding in 1969, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Raising Day is observed annually on March 10.
- The Service of Home Undertakings' top-level focal outfitted police force, the CISF, is responsible for giving security insurance to a few public area associations, air terminals, seaports, power plants, and other critical framework projects the country over.
- The 54th CISF Raising Day was held this year to recognize the Central Industrial Security Force's efforts and contributions.
Indian Navy gets first-ever privately made indigenized fuze of Anti-Submarine Warfare rocket.
- The Indian Navy has received a fully indigenous fuze for an anti-submarine warfare (ASW) underwater rocket, manufactured for the first time by a private Indian industry, in what is being regarded as a significant achievement for the “Make in India” initiative in the defense sector.
- The Indian Navy has never ordered supplies for underwater ammunition fuzes from a private sector company in India.
- The Indian Navy has never purchased an underwater ammunition fuze from a private Indian manufacturer.
- The Indian defense industry's self-reliance will greatly benefit from this. A noteworthy achievement is also the utilization of simulated dynamic trial facilities throughout the manufacturing and development phases.
