Oscars Awards 2023 Offically Announced:

  • Fans are eager to learn how India performs at the Oscars in 2023 now that the 95th Academy Awards have been announced. The Academy Awards, or Oscars, first took place in 1929 and recently celebrated their 95th year of existence.
  • On March 13, IST, the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles hosted the Oscars. Jimmy Kimmel, a well-known host, was in charge of it. Both ‘All That Inhales’ and ‘Naatu’ from RRR got selections for Best Unique Tune.
  • After Deepika Padukone introduced the live performance of Naatu Naatu, there were standing ovations. Deepika is the third Indian to present at the Oscars, joining Persis Khambatta and Priyanka Chopra.

Oscars awards 2023: RRR’s “Naatu Naatu” wins Best Original Song:

  • The winner of Best Original Song at the 95th Academy Awards has been announced as RRR's "Naatu Naatu."
  • Chandrabose wrote the lyrics, Kala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj performed, and MM Keeravaani composed the music.
  • Best song at the Golden Globes went to "Naatu Naatu." As a result of the win, RRR became the first Indian film to win a Golden Globe.

Indonesia’s Mount Merapi volcano erupts, covering villages in ash:

  • One of the most active volcanoes in the world, Mount Merapi, erupted, spewing smoke and ash that covered the villages near the crater.
  • The National Disaster Mitigation Agency reported that no casualties had been reported as of yet.
  • In Yogyakarta, the images show houses and roads covered in ash in a village near the volcano.

PM Modi inaugurates world’s longest railway platform in Hubballi, Karnataka:

  • At the Sri Siddhaarooda railway station in Hubballi, which is located in the state of Karnataka, Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated the world's longest railway platform, which measures 1.5 kilometers.
  • During the PM's visit to Karnataka, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi attended the inauguration of the platform. It should be noted that Indian Railways' South Western Railway Zones Hubbali now holds the record for the longest platform in the Guinness Book of World Records.

India received Golden & Silver Star at ‘Golden City Gate’ Tourism Awards:

  • The Indian Ministry of Tourism and the Government of India won the "TV/Cinema Commercials International" and "Country International" categories of the International Golden City Gate Tourism Awards 2023, respectively.
  • The Ministry's promotional films and television ads have been given the award as part of a global effort to reopen opportunities in India after Covid. Shri Arvind Singh, Secretary (Tourism), Government of India, accepted the honors on March 8, 2023, at the ITB in Berlin.
