PM Modi Inaugurates GPAI Summit
- Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) Summit at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
- GPAI is a multi-stakeholder initiative with 29 member countries.
- It aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice on Artificial Intelligence by supporting cutting-edge research and applied activities.
- India will be chairing the of GPAI in 2024.
Kothakota Srinivas Reddy Appointed as Hyderabad Commissioner of Police
- Kothakota Srinivas Reddy has been appointed as the Commissioner of Police in Hyderabad.
- Previously, he was serving as additional DG (organisation and legal).
- He took over from Sandeep Shandilya who temporarily held the position during the Assembly polls.

Tata Power Ties Up with Indian Oil to Set Up 500 EV Charging Points Across India
- Tata Power EV Charging Solutions Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) to deploy over 500 fast and ultra-fast electric vehicle (EV) charging stations throughout India.
- These EV charging points will be installed in major cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Pune, and Kochi, as well as across major highways such as the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, Salem-Kochi Highway, Guntur-Chennai Highway and the Golden Quadrilateral.
India Joins UN’s ‘Race to Resilience’ at COP28
- During COP28 event in Dubai, India has officially joined the United Nations 'Race to Resilience.'
- Race to Resilience’ is a global platform to bring together non-state actors, investors, businesses, cities, regions, and civil society to increase the resilience of the most vulnerable to the climate crisis by 2030.
- It aims at promoting the concept of climate resilience in cities.
- The Climate Centre for Cities (C-Cube) will take the lead in implementing and driving this initiative across India.
- The Climate Centre for Cities (C-Cube) is located at the National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA), an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
