• World Chagas day is annually observed on 14^th April.
• The day raises awareness about neglected tropical diseases, advocates for equitable access to health care and services for those affected and promotes preventive measures to eliminate the disease.
• It is also known as the silent or silenced disease and a communicable parasitic disease.
