World Art Day 2024

• World Art Day is annually observed on 15^th April.
• The day raises awareness about the importance of art in fostering an inclusive and equitable education, and it promotes art education as a crucial component of lifelong learning.
• The theme of the day 2024 is A Garden of Expression: Cultivating Community Through Art.

DRDO and Indian Army Conducted Trials of MPATGM Weapon System

• The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Indian Army conducted trials of the Man-Portable Anti-Tank Guided Missile (MPATGM) Weapon System at PFFR in Rajasthan.
• The MPATGM Weapon System was indigenously designed and developed by DRDO and consists of the Man Portable Launcher, the Target Acquisition System (TAS), and the Fire Control Unit (FCU).

IIT Madras launches medical van to tour across T.N.

• The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M) has developed a mobile unit to calibrate medical diagnostic devices.
• The van can calibrate 45 types of life-saving medical equipment like BP monitoring machines, ventilators, foetal simulators, incubator analysers, defibrillators, ECG machines and others.

India- Uzbekistan Joint Military Exercise DUSTLIK

• The fifth edition of the Dustlik Joint Military Exercise between India and Uzbekistan is conducted at Termez District, Uzbekistan.
• It is a yearly event conducted alternatively in India and Uzbekistan and the last edition was conducted at Pithoragarh (India) in February 2023.
• The exercise aims to foster military cooperation and enhance combined capabilities to execute joint operations in mountainous and semi-urban terrain. It would focus on a high degree of physical fitness, joint planning, joint tactical drills and basics of special arms skills.
