PM Modi to Inaugurate Terminal Building of Port Blair Airport
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to virtually inaugurate the new integrated terminal building (NITB) at Veer Savarkar International Airport in Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar Islands today.
- The new facility, aims to enhance connectivity to the island, a union territory.
World's First Methane-Fueled Space Rocket Launched
- A private Chinese company launched the World’s first methane-fuelled space rocket into orbit named “Zhuque-2”.
- China’s Zhuque-2 has become the World’s first methane propelled rocket to successfully fly into orbit. This was Landscape’s second attempt after a launch failed in December, 2022.
- This landmark achievement signifies a paradigm shift in the race towards cleaner, safe and reusable space travel technology.
PM MITRA Park Launched in Amravati
- The Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), the Maharashtra government, and the Indian Ministry of Textiles have collaboratively signed a memorandum of understanding to establish the PM Mega Integrated Textile Regions and Apparel Park (PM MITRA Park) in Amravati, Maharashtra.
- This strategic initiative aims to foster economic growth and generate employment opportunities by attracting an estimated investment of ₹10,000 crore and creating around 300,000 job openings.
- The grand inauguration of the PM MITRA mega textile park marked a significant milestone in advancing the textile industry in the region.
India to Host Global Summit of Food Safety Regulators
- The Global Food Regulators Summit is scheduled to be inaugurated in New Delhi, India, on July 20th and 21st.
- This highly anticipated event will witness the active involvement of diverse stakeholders, including representatives from numerous countries, international organizations, and national entities.
- The summit will introduce an innovative integrated digital dashboard, serving as a centralized platform to address food-related regulations and standards during the Global Food Regulators Summit in 2023.
Ajeet Singh Clinches Gold Medal
- The Para Athletics World Championships took place at the Charlety Stadium in Paris from July 8th to 17th.

Operation Trinetra II
- Operation Trinetra II, a collaborative effort involving the army and the police, has been initiated in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir to locate and apprehend the concealed terrorists.
- On July 17th, Operation Trinetra II commenced in the Sindarah and Maidana areas of Surankote tehsil, resulting in a fierce encounter with the terrorists in hiding.
