The Mascot of Khelo India Winter Games 2024 is Sheen-e She’ (Shan)
- Sheen-e She or Shan has been declared the mascot of Khelo India Winter Games 2024.
- In keeping with the tradition and biodiversity of the region, the Sheen-e She or Shan is a snow leopard.
- The logo integrates the Indian tricolor and symbols of Ladakh.
Delhi Government Introduced New Solar Policy 2024
- The Delhi government has introduced New Solar Policy 2024, aimed at promoting solar power adoption among residents.
- The policy allows residents to install solar panels on their rooftops, enabling them to generate their own electricity.
- Residents can benefit from zero electricity bills and even earn by selling excess solar power back to the grid.
- The new policy targets to achieve 4500 megawatts of installed capacity of solar power in Delhi by 2027.
- Its objective is to reduce air pollution and combat inflation by reducing electricity bills for residential and commercial/industrial consumers.

- Neuralink startup had installed a brain implant in its first human patient.
- Neuralink is a neurotechnology company co-founded by Elon Musk.
- Its mission is to develop brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) that can help patients overcome paralysis and a range of neurological conditions.
- It helps to treat neurological disorders like Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease.
Shri Dharmendra Pradhan Inaugurated MoE - AICTE Investor Network Event
- Union Minister for Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated the Ministry of Education - AICTE Investor Network.
- The event is a collaboration of AICTE and the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC).
- The network aims to provide crucial financial support, mentoring, and strategic guidance to early-stage students or faculty-led startups.
Union Home Minister Launched Computerization Scheme for Offices of ARDBs, RCSs
- Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched the computerization scheme for the offices of the Registrar of Cooperative Societies (RCSs) and Agriculture and Rural Development Banks (ARDBs).
- The Computerization Project for ARDBs aims to digitize 1851 units of ARDBs situated across 13 States and Union Territories, connecting them to NABARD through a Common National Software.
- This initiative works to enhance the operations, efficiency, accountability, and transparency of ARDB by standardising business processes through the Common Accounting System and Management Information System.
- It also aims to reduce transaction costs, facilitate loan distribution to farmers, and enable real-time data access for better monitoring and assessment of schemes.
