PM inspects the Shivpur-Phulwaria-Lahartara Marg in Kashi

• Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi proceeded to inspect the Shivpur-Phulwaria-Lahartara road around 11 pm on 22^nd February 2024.
• Recently inaugurated, this road is proving immensely beneficial to approximately 500,000 residents residing in the southern part, as well as those associated with BHU (Banaras Hindu University) and BLW (Banaras Locomotive Works), facilitating travel towards the airport, Lucknow, Azamgarh, and Ghazipur.
• Constructed at a cost of Rs 360 crore, this road infrastructure initiative is instrumental in alleviating traffic congestion and shortening travel distances.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to Inaugurate First Mile Connectivity Projects

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to deliver an address at the Viksit Bharat Viksit Chhattisgarh program on 24^th February 2024 via video conferencing.
• In this event, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for First Mile Connectivity Projects, various development projects valued at over 34,400 crore rupees.
• These projects encompass several crucial sectors such as Roads, Railways, Coal, Power, and Solar Energy, among others.

BHARAT TEX 2024

• Ms. Rachna Shah, Secretary of the Ministry of Textiles, announced that Bharat Tex, with its vast exhibition area spanning over 22 lakh sq ft across two venues at Bharat Mandapam and Yashobhoomi in New Delhi.
• With participation from buyers representing 100 countries and featuring over 100 international speakers, is poised to become India’s largest Global Textile Event.
• The four-day event, commencing on Monday, 26^th February 2024, will be formally inaugurated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

647^th Birth Anniversary of Sant Guru Ravidas

• Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi delivered a speech on the 647^th Birth Anniversary of Sant Guru Ravidas in Varanasi.
• The ceremony was held at the Sant Guru Ravidas Janmasthali temple near BHU in Seer Govardhanpur,.
• The Prime Minister unveiled the newly installed Sant Ravidas statue in the adjacent Ravidas Park.
• He also inaugurated several development projects valued at approximately Rs 32 crores in the vicinity of Sant Ravidas Janmasthali and laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Sant Ravidas Museum.

Exercise Dosti-16

• The 16^th edition of the India-Maldives-Sri Lanka trilateral exercise "Dosti" commenced from 22^nd February 2024.
• It will continue till 25th February 2024. This year marked a significant development with Bangladesh participating as an observer.
