US, UK and Australia Entered Agreement to Build Australia’s SSN-AUKUS Submarines

  • The United States, the United Kingdom and Australia have entered a new agreement to build Australia’s SSN-AUKUS submarines.
  • It is a trilateral Security partnership under which Australia’s ASC and UK-based BAE Systems will build the SSN-AUKUS submarines for the Royal Australian Navy.
  • The SSN-AUKUS will be equipped for intelligence, surveillance, undersea warfare and strike missions, and will provide maximum interoperability among AUKUS partners.

World Meteorology Day 2024

Govind Dholakia Appointed as New Chairman of Surat Diamond Bourse

  • The Surat Diamond Bourse (SDB) has appointed Govind Dholakia as its new chairman.
  • He is a Rajya Sabha MP from Gujarat and succeeded Vallabhbhai Patel (Lakhani).

World Tuberculosis Day 2024
