Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Inaugurated Ammunition and Missiles Complex in Kanpur

  • Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath inaugurated South Asia’s Largest Ammunition and Missiles Complex in Kanpur.
  • The complex was launched by Adani Defence & Aerospace and will produce ammunition, artillery shells, and short-range missiles.

Maryam Nawaz Becomes First Woman Chief Minister of Punjab

  • Senior PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz becomes the first woman chief minister of Punjab.
  • She is the daughter of Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
  • She defeated Rana Aftab of the PTI-backed SIC in the election.

World NGO Day 2024

  • World NGO day is annually observed on 27th February.
  • The day aims to acknowledge the crucial contributions of the NGOs. For the unversed, NGOs play a vital role in society.
  • The theme for the day 2024 is 'Building a Sustainable Future: The Role of NGOs in Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).'

PM Modi Inaugurated Sikkim’s First Railway Station in Rangpo

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Sikkim's first railway station at Rangpo.
  • The station is designed in local culture, heritage, and architecture which reflects Sikkim’s rich traditions and the majestic Himalayan landscape.
  • The station will be a part of the under-construction 45-km rail line from Sevoke near Siliguri in West Bengal to Rangpo in Sikkim. It will have 14 tunnels and 22 bridges.
  • There will be three stations between Sevoke and Rangpo -- Riyang, Teesta and Melli, all in West Bengal.

US and India Launched Cybersecurity Initiative

  • The US Consulate in collaboration with the Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA) launched the first-ever US-India Cyber Security Initiative.
  • The initiative aims to unite top cyber security experts globally to create jobs and develop cutting-edge solutions and will also foster people-to-people ties in cyberspace.
