National Martyr's Memorial Unveiled at Jagjivan RPF Academy Lucknow
- Shri Sanjay Chander, the Director General of Railway Protection Force (RPF), inaugurated the newly constructed National Martyr's Memorial and National Museum for Railway Security at Jagjivan RPF Academy, located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
- Covering an extensive area of 4800 square meters, the martyr's memorial bears the inscriptions of 1014 RPF personnel who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty since 1957.
- The RPF paid tribute to these brave individuals as a mark of respect and remembrance.
85th CRPF Raising Day
- On 27th July 2023, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) commemorated its 85th Raising Day, honoring the force's remarkable and unmatched dedication to safeguarding the unity, integrity, and sovereignty of the nation.
- As India's largest Central Armed Police Force, the CRPF operates under the purview of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
National Conference on ‘Moving Mental Health Beyond Institutions’
- On July 26, the National Conference on the theme "Moving Mental Health Beyond Institutions" commenced with the primary aim of addressing the hurdles faced in effectively implementing the Mental Healthcare Act of 2017.
- The conference intends to engage in discussions and deliberations on finding solutions to various mental health concerns, charting a path forward towards their resolution.
ACROSS Umbrella Scheme
- Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved the continuation of the umbrella scheme called "Atmosphere & Climate Research-Modelling Observing Systems & Services (ACROSS)" for the next five years (2021-2026) in the recent finance cycle.
- The Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES) will be responsible for the implementation of the ACROSS scheme through its units, namely the India Meteorological Department (IMD), National Centre for Medium Range Weather Forecasting (NCMRWF), Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), and Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS).
Noor Shekhawat Became the First Recipient of Transgender Birth Certificate in Rajasthan
- Noor Shekhawat, a resident of Jaipur, received Rajasthan's inaugural transgender birth certificate from Bhanwarlal Bairwa, who serves as the Director of the Economic and Statistics Department and Chief Registrar for Births and Deaths.
- In addition, an awareness program is set to be launched, aimed at encouraging transgender individuals to apply for their birth certificates.
