NHPC and Gujarat Signed MoU for Pumped Storage Project

• The state-run hydro power NHPC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Gujarat Power Corporation (GPCL).
• The signing ceremony took place in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, within the "Vibrant Gujarat" initiative.
• According to the terms outlined in the MoU, NHPC is set to invest an estimated ₹4,000 crore in the proposed 750 MW Kuppa Pumped Hydro Storage Project Gujarat.

Government Launches Tur Dal Purchase Portal

• Cooperation Minister Amit Shah has inaugurated a portal facilitating farmers to sell tur dal directly to government procurement agencies.
• This initiative aims to be a crucial step towards reducing India's dependency on imported pulses within a span of three years.
• The portal enables farmers to sell tur dal, to either the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (Nafed) or the National Cooperative Consumers’ Federation of India (NCCF) at the minimum support price (MSP) or the prevailing market price, whichever is higher.
