Haj Suvidha App and Haj Guide for Haj-2024

  • Union Minister for Minority Affairs and Women and Child Development Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani launched Haj Suvidha app and Haj Guide
  • These initiatives were introduced at the two days’ Training of Trainers Program, part of preparations for Haj 2024 at Vigyan Bhavan.
  • The app will provide essential information and access to crucial services, while the guide will educate pilgrims about various aspects of the journey, with a focus on utilizing the app effectively.

World Wildlife Day 2024

  • World Wildlife Day is annually observed on 3rd March.
  • The Day was established by the UN General Assembly on 20th December 2013 to honor the planet’s wild animals and plants.
  • The day creates awareness of the critical need for wildlife conservation and the protection of endangered species.
  • The theme of the day 2024 is Connecting People and Planet: Exploring Digital Innovation in Wildlife Conservation.

National Safety Day 2024

  • National Safety Day is annually observed on 4th March.
  • The day aims to raise awareness about the importance of safety in the context of sustainability and promote the adoption of safe practices in all sectors, including industries, workplaces, and communities.
  • The theme of the day 2024 is “Focus on Safety Leadership for ESG Excellence.

Jyotiraditya M. Scindia Inaugurated India’s First Green Hydrogen Plant

  • Union Minister for Steel and Civil Aviation, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia virtually inaugurated India's first Green Hydrogen Plant in Stainless Steel Sector at Jindal Stainless Limited, Hisar.
  • This project to be the world’s first off-grid Green Hydrogen plant for the stainless-steel industry and the world’s first Green Hydrogen plant with rooftop & floating solar.
  • The government is encouraging companies, citizens, and state governments to focus on "green growth" and "green jobs" to achieve the target of net zero carbon emission by 2070.

Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya Launched AYUSH-ICMR Advanced Centre

  • Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya launched the AYUSH-ICMR Advanced Centre in New Delhi for Integrated Health Research at AIIMS.
  • The centre aims to provide holistic healthcare to patients by using both traditional Indian wisdom and modern medicine together.
