Fourth Session of India-Ghana Joint Trade Committee held in Accra

• A delegation of seven members from India, led by Shri Amardeep Singh Bhatia, held a Joint Trade Committee (JTC) meeting with their Ghanaian counterparts in Accra from 2^nd to 3^rd May 2024.
• The JTC meeting was co-chaired by Michael Okyere-Baafi, Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry of the Republic of Ghana, and Shri Amardeep Singh Bhatia, Additional Secretary of the Department of Commerce.
• Both parties conducted a thorough assessment of recent advancements in bilateral trade and investment relationships, recognizing significant untapped opportunities for further growth.
• They mutually agreed to promptly collaborate on implementing the Unified Payment Interface (UPI) by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) on Ghana's Ghana Interbank Payment and Settlement Systems (GHIPSS) within a timeframe of six months.

Ministry of Tourism Participates in Arabian Travel Mart 2024 in Dubai

• The Ministry of Tourism under the Government of India is actively participating in the Arabian Travel Mart 2024, scheduled in Dubai from 6th May 2024 to 9^th May 2024.
• This event signifies a significant advancement in bolstering India's presence within the Middle East tourism market.
• Mr. Satish Kumar Sivan, the Consul General of India to Dubai, inaugurated the Incredible India pavilion.
• The pavilion has made a notable entrance, with a strategic focus on capturing the entire UAE market.
