About Grand Cross of the Order of Makarios III 

• Cyprus' highest civilian honour, named after its first President, Makarios III. 
• Awarded to PM Narendra Modi during his visit to Cyprus on 15–16 June 2025. 
• PM Narendra Modi is the First Indian PM to visit Cyprus in over 20 years.
