• India leveled the Test series 1–1, marking the first time they bounced back in England after losing the opening match. 
• India had previously lost 7 out of 8 Tests at Edgbaston; this victory ended that streak. 
• Indian pacers claimed 17 wickets, matching the record for most wickets by Indian new-ball bowlers in a Test match.
