Project Kuiper 

• Amazon launched the first 27 satellites under Project Kuiper, a low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite broadband network. 
• The project aims to provide high-speed, low-latency, and affordable internet access to underserved areas, with a network of approximately 3,232 satellites. 
• Named after the Kuiper Belt, the project is similar to SpaceX Starlink in its goal of global broadband coverage. 

 Zojila Pass 

• Zojila Pass is now open to tourists without the need for prior authorization or a no-objection certificate (NOC). 
• Located at an elevation of 3,528 m, it connects Ladakh and Kashmir, separating the Kashmir Valley from Drass Valley. 
• The Zojila Tunnel project, launched in 2018, will create the longest bi-directional tunnel in Asia when completed.
