The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has launched Operation Chakra-V to combat Transnational Organized Cybercrime and Digital Arrests, marking a major step in India’s cybercrime enforcement efforts. 

About Operation Chakra-V 

• Launched by: Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) 
• Objective: To counter transnational cybercrime syndicates, especially those involved in: 
  • Digital arrests 
  • Online financial frauds 
  • Data theft and impersonation 
• Previous Operations: Operation Chakra-IV targeted organized cyber-enabled financial crimes via a globally coordinated response using INTERPOL channels.
