VISIT OF FIRST TRAINING SQUADRON TO BAHRAIN AND UAE

- Deployment Details: The INS Tir and ICGS Veera from the First Training Squadron (1TS) arrived at Port Manama, Bahrain on 12th October 2024, as part of a Long-Range Training Deployment in the Persian Gulf.
- Objectives: The visit aims to enhance naval cooperation, increase interoperability, and engage in various maritime operations with the Royal Bahrain Naval Forces (RBNF).
- Planned Activities: Activities during the port call include professional interactions, cross-ship visits, joint training sessions, yoga, band concerts, friendly sports events, social interactions, and community welfare initiatives.
- Training Facilities: Indian Navy Sea trainees will visit RBNF training facilities to gain exposure to various naval training activities.
- Maritime Partnership Exercise: A coordination meeting will be held to plan a Maritime Partnership Exercise between the two navies, focusing on cooperative engagement and maritime security in the region.
- UAE Visit: INS Shardul also made a port visit to Port Rashid, Dubai, where it engaged with the UAE Navy through multiple training activities and harbor interactions.
- Broader Goals: This deployment aims to strengthen socio-political, military, and maritime ties between India, Bahrain, and the UAE, reflecting growing defense relations and enhancing maritime security cooperation among the navies.
