President Droupadi Murmu is set to confer the President’s Colour Award to AFMC

  • President Droupadi Murmu is set to confer the esteemed ‘President’s Colour’ upon the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) on December 1, acknowledging their 75 years of dedicated health services to the Indian armed forces.
  • The President’s Colour, also known as ‘Rashtrapati ka Nishaan’, is the highest honour that can be bestowed upon any military unit.
  • The event will be held at the Captain Devashish Sharma Kirti Chakra parade ground at AFMC in Wanowrie.

Bengaluru Tops in Women-Led Startups

  • According to data from the startup data platform Tracxn, Bengaluru boasts 1,783 women-led startups, leading the count among cities.
  • Mumbai follows with 1,480, and Delhi with 1,195. Noida, Kolkata, and Ahmedabad secured the eighth, ninth, and tenth positions, hosting 324, 184, and 181 women-led startups, respectively.
  • With more than 61,400 startups, India’s startup ecosystem has added more firepower to become the third-largest hub globally after the US and China.
