DRDO Develops India's Lightest Bulletproof Jacket

• The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has recently unveiled India's lightest bulletproof jacket designed to withstand the highest threat level 6 according to the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
• Developed by the Defence Materials and Stores Research and Development Establishment (DMSRDE) in Kanpur, a unit of DRDO, this innovative jacket offers protection against 7.62 x 54 R API ammunition, corresponding to Level 6 of BIS 17051 standards.
• The bulletproof jacket has been tested to stop six bullets, showcasing its advanced protective capabilities.

Russia Vetoes UN Vote on Stopping Arms Race in Outer Space
