Prime Minister to Inaugurate ‘Ayush Projects’ in Pune and Jhajjar Tomorrow

  • Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate two institutes of the Ministry of Ayush on 25th February 2024 virtually.
  • These institutes, the National Institute of Naturopathy (NIN) known as 'NISARG GRAM' in Pune, Maharashtra, and the 'Central Research Institute of Yoga & Naturopathy' (CRIYN) in Jhajjar, Haryana, will play a significant role in advancing holistic healthcare across the nation.

Shri Sarbananda Sonowal Unveils Initiatives to Boost Capacity at NEIAH in Shillong

  • The Union Minister of Ayush and Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, initiated several projects aimed at enhancing the capacity of the Northeastern Institute of Ayurveda and Homoeopathy (NEIAH) at its Mawdiangdiang campus in Shillong.
  • Alongside inaugurating the Guest House, the Ayush Minister laid the foundation stones for the Administrative Building, Pharmacy Building, and the Boundary wall, which includes a Periphery Road, along with external electrification, including entry and exit gates.

Foundation Stone Laid for POWERGRID Vishram Sadan at AIIMS Bilaspur

  • On 23rd February 2024, the foundation stone for POWERGRID Vishram Sadan was laid at AIIMS Bilaspur.
  • POWERGRID evolved the concept of ‘Vishram Sadan,’ to provide a comfortable stay to the waiting patients and their attendants.
  • POWERGRID is reaching out to the weaker and needy sections of society by providing the facility of more than 3,000 beds across its various Vishram Sadans.

NHPC hosts 23rd Inter CPSU Cricket Tournament for Power Sector PSUs

  • NHPC successfully organized the 23rd Inter Central Public Sector Unit T-20 Cricket tournament in Gurugram from 19th to 24th February 2024, under the auspices of the Power Sports Control Board (PSCB).
  • The tournament's final match, held on 24th February 2024, featured a thrilling showdown between POWERGRID and NTPC.
  • In a closely contested match, NTPC emerged triumphant over POWERGRID by a margin of three runs, claiming the title of champions for the 23rd Inter CPSU Cricket tournament 2024.
  • The Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) team secured the position of Second Runner-up.

Vimarsh 2023: 5G Hackathon for Law Enforcement Agencies

  • The Telecom Centres of Excellence (TCoE) India, operating under the SRI unit of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), collaborated with the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D) under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to organize the Vimarsh 2023 5G Hackathon.
  • The primary objective of this event was to tackle critical issues, explore innovative solutions for Law Enforcement Agencies, address their challenges, and foster innovation in the sector.
  • During the third and final phase of screening held on 21st and 22nd February 2024, 22 out of 23 startups and institutes showcased Use Case Proof of Concepts (PoC) at the DoT-funded IIT Madras 5G Testbed.
  • The presentations occurred in the presence of esteemed Jury Members, both physically and virtually.
