First National Conference on Promotion of Seaweed Cultivation

  • Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Shri Parshottam Rupala chaired the National Conference on Promotion of Seaweed Cultivationon at Kutch, Gujarat.
  • The conference aims to implement seaweed cultivation on a pan-India basis and emphasise the promotion of seaweed cultivation.
  • This is the first national conference on seaweed cultivation which is an alternate for employment generation of seaweed products.

Divyansh Singh Panwar Wins Gold in Men's Air Rifle Event at ISSF World Cup

  • Indian Olympian Divyansh Singh Panwar wins gold in the men's air rifle shooting event at International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup.
  • This was Divyansh's fifth overall World Cup stage gold and second individual gold after his last effort came in Putian in 2019.

Preeti Rajak Become the First Woman Subedar in Indian Army

  • Havildar Preeti Rajak has become the first woman to hold the rank of Subedar in the Indian Army.
  • She won a silver medal in the trap women team event During the 19th Asian Games, held at Hangzhou in China.
  • She is currently ranked sixth in India (trap women event) and is training at the Army Marksmanship Unit (AMU) in preparation for the Paris Olympic Games 2024.

India- Saudi Arabia Joint Military Exercise Sada Tanseeq Commences in Rajasthan

  • India-Saudi Arabia Joint Military Exercise Sada Tanseeq commenced in Mahajan, Rajasthan.
  • The Royal Saudi Land Forces are represented by a contingent of 45 personnel, while the Indian Army contingent also consisting of 45 personnel hails from a Battalion from the Brigade of the Guards.
  • Its objective is to train troops from both nations for Joint Operations in Semi Desert terrain, aligning with Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter.
  • The Exercise will enable both the sides to share their best practices in the tactics, techniques and procedures of conducting operations in sub-conventional domain.
  • It will facilitate developing interoperability, bonhomie and camaraderie between troops from both sides.

PM Inaugurated Diamond Jubilee Celebration of the Supreme Court

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Diamond Jubilee celebration of the Supreme Court of India in Delhi.
  • He also launched several citizen-centric information and technology initiatives, which include the Digital Supreme Court Reports (Digi SCR), Digital Courts 2.0, and a new bilingual website dedicated to the Supreme Court during the event.
