‘Jal Itihas Utsav’ Organised in Delhi

  • The Department of Water Resources, River Development, and Ganga Rejuvenation, Ministry of Jal Shakti, organized the 'Jal Itihas Utsav' at Shamsi Talab, Jahaz Mahal in Mehrauli, Delhi, on December 1, 2023.
  • The event aimed to enhance public awareness regarding the preservation of water heritage sites, foster a sense of responsibility among the masses, encourage tourism, and play a role in the revitalization of these historical structures.

RBI and Bank of England Signed MoU for Exchange of Information

  • The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the Bank of England (BoE) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) towards promoting international financial cooperation.

59th Raising Day of Border Security Force (BSF)

Bihar Launches ‘Mission Daksh’

  • The Bihar government has initiated a new program with the goal of assisting around 25 lakh children encountering substantial academic difficulties in government schools.
  • Named "Mission Daksh" (Dynamic Approach for Knowledge and Skill), the initiative concentrates on delivering targeted Hindi, Mathematics, and English lessons to students in classes 3-8 across the state.

India to Host COP33 in 2028

  • India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi has proposed hosting the 33rd Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC (COP 33) in 2028.
  • Addressing COP 28 in the UAE, Modi expressed India's dedication to the UN Framework for Climate Change process and its emission intensity targets set 11 years in advance.

Indian Navy Appointed the First Woman Commanding Officer in a Naval Ship

  • Admiral R Hari Kumar declared the selection of the first female commanding officer for a naval ship.
  • He further noted the inclusion of over 1,000 women Agniveers into the Indian Navy, aligning with the philosophy of 'all roles-all ranks' for female personnel.
