International Day of Conscience 2024

• International Day of Conscience is annually observed on 5th April.
• The day raising awareness on conscience which is based on the respect for human rights and human dignity of all which are universal in nature and needed in the age of hate crimes and war crimes.
• The theme for the day 2024 is Promoting a Culture of Peace with Love and Conscience.

Droupadi Murmu Launched India’s First Home-grown Gene Therapy

• The President of India Smt. Droupadi Murmu launched India’s first home-grown gene therapy for cancer at IIT Bombay.
• The treatment is named CAR-T cell therapy”, is accessible and affordable, it provides a new hope for the whole of humankind.

National Maritime Day 2024

• The day is dedicated to recognizing the importance of the maritime sector in the country’s international trade and economic growth.
• The theme for the day 2024 is Navigating the future: safety first.

Rakesh Mohan Appointed to World Bank Economic Advisory Panel

• The World Bank Group has appointed former Reserve Bank of India deputy governor Rakesh Mohan as the member of the Economic Advisory Panel.
• Currently, he is serving as president emeritus and distinguished fellow at CSEP and is also part-time member of the Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council.
