Vivad Se Vishwas 2.0 Scheme
- The Ministry of Finance's Department of Expenditure has introduced Vivad se Vishwas 2.0, also referred to as the Contractual Disputes scheme.
- This program, unveiled in the Union Budget 2023-24 by the Finance Minister, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, seeks to address longstanding contractual disputes involving the government and its undertakings.
- The primary objective is to establish a systematic and efficient approach for resolving these disputes, thereby alleviating the strain on the legal system and promoting a more conducive business environment.
Ayush Visa Category
- The Ministry of Home Affairs has made an official announcement about the launch of a new visa category known as the Ayush (AY) visa.
- This visa has been specifically created for foreign nationals who wish to seek treatment under Ayush systems or traditional Indian systems of medicine, which include therapeutic care, wellness practices, and Yoga.
President Inaugurated ‘Unmesha’ and ‘Utkarsh’ Festivals
- In Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, the President of India inaugurated the 'Unmesha' International Literature Festival and the 'Utkarsh' Festival of Folk and Tribal Performing Arts. Organized by the Sahitya Akademi and Sangeet Natak Akademi, respectively, these festivals share a common purpose of celebrating inclusivity and cultural diversity in the region.
- The 'Unmesha' festival, spanning three days, serves as a gathering for literary enthusiasts from across the globe, offering a platform for intellectual exchange and creative discussions. On the other hand, the 'Utkarsh' festival pays tribute to the rich heritage of folk and tribal traditions in India, providing a stage for these expressive art forms to flourish and mesmerize the audience.
Debris of ISRO Rocket Found on the Shores of Australian Beach
- A substantial object discovered on the shores of western Australia has been positively identified as debris from an Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) rocket.
- The object is believed to be an unburnt section of the PSLV rocket, which was responsible for launching a navigation satellite for the IRNSS constellation approximately two months ago.
- It is speculated that during re-entry into the atmosphere, a part of the rocket failed to burn completely and subsequently fell into the ocean.
New Logo of NMDC
