Union Minister Inaugurated Centre of Management Education at NALCO, Angul
- The Union Minister for Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Shri Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated the Centre of Management Education.
- The inauguration was at the NALCO Training Institute in Angul, Odisha and is jointly established by IIM Mumbai and IIM Sambalpur.
- The Centre shall offer three and six months of Logistics and Operation courses and impart one-year Executive Post Graduate Course.
- The course structure has been designed in consultation with the Industries by IIMs.
National Dentist’s Day 2024
- National Dentist’s Day is annually observed on 6th March.
- The day recognises the contributions of dental specialists and dental experts in promoting great oral wellbeing and preventing oral illnesses.
- The day is used to promote the significance of oral wellbeing and cleanliness among the masses.
PM Modi Launched India's First Underwater Metro Service
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Howrah Maidan-Esplanade section of Kolkata Metro's East-West corridor.
- It is considered as India's first underwater metro service and is being executed by Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation Limited (KMRCL).
- Spanning a 4.8-km stretch between Howrah Maidan and Esplanade, the route connects key areas such as the IT hub Salt Lake Sector V.
IN-SPACe Launched Satellite & Payload Technical Centre
- Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe) Launched Satellite & Payload Technical Centre in Ahmedabad.
- The centre was inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Science and Technology Jitendra Singh.
- The centre is designed to provide unprecedented opportunities for the private sector to test and validate their space technologies comprehensively.
- The centre aims to substantially increase its stake in the global space economy, leveraging the prowess of its private sector alongside governmental efforts.
Raksha Mantri Inaugurated New Administrative & Training building at Naval War College
- Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh inaugurated the new Administrative & Training building named Chola at the Naval War College (NWC), Goa.
- He described Chola Bhawan as a symbol of the aspirations of the Navy and India’s legacy of maritime excellence.
- It is also a reflection of India’s new mindset of coming out of the mentality of slavery and feeling proud of our rich historical heritage.
