Why in the News?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the road in front of Jamaica High Commission has been renamed as Jamaica Marg. This was inaugurated by Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness and cricketer Chris Gayle in New Delhi, highlighting the partnership between Jamaica and India through the Four Cs: Culture, Cricket, Commonwealth and Caribbean Community (CARICOM). The renaming reflects the enduring friendship between the two nations.
