• The International Day for Countering Hate Speech was established through a UN General Assembly resolution in July 2021. 
• Aim: To address the growing challenges of hate speech, racism and discrimination across the globe. 
• Theme for 2025: “Hate Speech and Artificial Intelligence Nexus: Building coalitions to reclaim inclusive and secure environments free of hatred.”
