Maratha Military Landscapes
- The Maratha Military Landscapes of India have been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, becoming India’s 44th World Heritage site.
- This heritage includes a group of forts and military structures built by the Maratha Empire between the 17th and 19th centuries.
- Spread across the states of Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu, the selected sites, include Salher, Shivneri, Lohgad, Khanderi, Raigad, Rajgad, Pratapgad, Suvarnadurg, Panhala, Vijaydurg and Sindhudurg in Maharashtra along with Gingee Fort inTamil Nadu.
Operation SHIVA 2025
- The Indian Army has launched Operation SHIVA 2025 to ensure full security during the Shri Amarnath Yatra in Jammu & Kashmir.
- The operation is carried out with joint efforts of the Army, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), civil authorities and disaster response teams.
- It includes anti-drone systems, surveillance tools, and emergency preparedness for safe and smooth movement of pilgrims.
