PRAGATI 

  • Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi presided over the 48th meeting of Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation (PRAGATI), an ICT-based multi-modal platform. 
  • PRAGATI was launched on 25 March 2015 by the Government of India. 
  • It is a multi-purpose, multi-modal platform aimed at improving governance and implementation. 
  • The platform is designed to 
    • Resolve public grievances 
    • Monitor and review key government programmes and projects 
    • Track projects raised by State Governments 
  • It was developed in-house by the PMO team with support from the National Informatics Centre (NIC). 
  • PRAGATI integrates three modern technologies 
    • Digital data management 
    • Video conferencing 
    • Geospatial technology 

Agroforestry for Resilient Rainfed Landscapes 

  • A one-day workshop titled “Agroforestry for Resilient Rainfed Landscapes” was jointly organized by the National Rainfed Area Authority (NRAA), the Natural Resource Management (NRM) Division of the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare (DA&FW), and the Revitalising Rainfed Agriculture (RRA) Network. 
  • Agroforestry is a focused land management approach that maximizes the advantages of natural interactions by intentionally integrating trees or shrubs with crops and livestock. 
  • Agroforestry enhances resilience in rainfed landscapes by improving soil health, water retention and biodiversity. It provides multiple income sources through trees, crops and livestock. The system also helps in climate adaptation and reduces the risks of crop failure. 

Poorvottar Sampark Setu  

  • Smt. Raksha Nikhil Khadse, Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, concluded a detailed review meeting in Unakoti District, Tripura, as part of her ongoing visit under the ‘Poorvottar Sampark Setu’ programme. 
  • Poorvottar Sampark Setu is an effective tool created to improve and simplify the monitoring of Union Ministers' fortnightly visits to the North Eastern Region (NER). 
  • The dashboard offers useful insights and graphical data on State-wise and District-wise visits, providing all stakeholders with centralized access to this information. 

U17 Asian Wrestling Championships  

  • India’s U-17 Women’s Wrestling Team emerged champion at the Asian Wrestling Championships in Vung Tau, Vietnam, securing 10 medals (5 gold, 3 silver, 2 bronze) and topping the team standings with 215 points. 
  • Held in Vung Tau, Vietnam, the Under-17 Asian Wrestling Championships showcased top young wrestling talent from across Asia. India led the medal tally in the women's category, followed by China (151 points) and Japan (149 points), highlighting the country’s rising dominance in youth wrestling. 

National Aquatics Championship 

  • B. Benedicton Rohit and Dhinidhi Desinghu set new national records in the men’s 50m butterfly and women’s 100m freestyle respectively at the National Aquatics Championships 2025 held at the Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar. 
  • Hosted at the Kalinga Stadium Aquatic Centre, the National Aquatics Championship is a premier event in Indian swimming, showcasing top national talent. Benedicton broke Virdhawal Khade’s 50m butterfly record twice—clocking 24.13 in the heats and 24.11 in the final—while also securing World Championship qualification.
