Shri Chandrakant Raghunath Patil 

Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Patil chaired the 15th ETF meeting on Ganga conservation, reaffirming the government's commitment to a cleaner, sustainable river. 

Chandrakant Raghunath Patil (born 16 March 1955), commonly known as C. R. Patil, is an Indian politician currently serving as the Union Minister of Jal Shakti since 2024. He is a member of the 18th Lok Sabha and represents Navsari, Gujarat, as a four-time elected MP. Since 2020, he has also been the President of the BJP’s Gujarat unit, becoming the first non-Gujarati to hold this post. 

Dilip Rasiklal Doshi 

Veteran Indian spinner Dilip Doshi passed away at 77 in London due to cardiac arrest, marking the end of an era in Indian cricket.

Dilip Rasiklal Doshi (22 December 1947 – 23 June 2025) was a former Indian cricketer who represented Bengal, though he hailed from Gujarat. He played 33 Test matches and 15 One Day Internationals between 1979 and 1983. 

Remarkably, Doshi made his Test debut after the age of 30 and still went on to take over 100 Test wickets, a feat achieved by only three other bowlers—Clarrie Grimmett, Saeed Ajmal, and Ryan Harris. 

Rujula S 

Karnataka swimmer Rujula S won gold in the women’s 50m freestyle at the Senior National Aquatic Championship, setting a new national record. 

Rujula S, an Indian swimmer, recently set a new national record in the women’s 50m freestyle by finishing the race in 26.36 seconds. This outstanding performance broke the 17-year-old record previously held by Shikha Tandon, making Rujula the fastest female swimmer in India. 

Bhavya Sachdeva 

Rujula S and Bhavya Sachdeva won gold and set new records in the 50m and 1500m freestyle events at the National Aquatics Championships.
