Residence programme  

  • On May 26, 2025, artists of Madhubani (Bihar) and Gond (Madhya Pradesh) art met President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan under the Artists-in-Residence programme – Kala Utsav.  
  • The programme (May 20–27) highlights traditional and tribal art forms, featuring renowned artists from Bihar and Madhya Pradesh.

Sugar Board in school  

  • Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has directed over 24,000 affiliated schools to set up ‘Sugar Boards’ to educate students about the dangers of excessive sugar intake.  
  • These boards will display key information like recommended daily sugar limits, sugar content in common junk foods and drinks, and related health risks.  
  • The initiative also promotes healthier food alternatives to encourage better dietary choices among students.  
  • The move aims to create awareness on informed eating habits and foster long-term health benefits in school-going children.
