Shambhavi Shravan Kshirsagar at the ISSF Junior World Cup, maintained the lead from the start despite strong competition from her teammate Ojasvi Thakur and China’s Li Shijia.

Bachendri Pal celebrated 40 years of her historic Everest ascent by trekking to the Base Camp.

In 1984, Bachendri Pal, a 28-year-old lecturer from Uttarkashi, created history by becoming the first Indian woman to climb the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest. She reached the summit via the South Col route, accompanied by teammates Lhatoo Dorjee, Ang Dorjee, and Sonam Palzor.
