Jagadguru Basaveshwara 

The Prime Minister paid homage to Jagadguru Basaveshwara on the occasion of Basava Jayanti. 

Born in 1131 AD in Bagevadi, Karnataka, into a Brahmin family, he was a 12th-century philosopher, poet, statesman, and the founder of the Lingayat tradition. 

Bhushan Ramkrishna Gavai 

President Droupadi Murmu appointed Justice BR Gavai as the next Chief Justice of India. 

Justice Bhushan Ramkrishna Gavai was appointed the 52nd Chief Justice of India (CJI). He will succeed the current CJI, Justice Sanjiv Khanna.
