Yatin Bhaskar Duggal Won First Prize in National Youth Parliament Festival 2024

  • Yatin Bhaskar Duggal from Haryana won the first prize in the National Youth Parliament Festival, 2024.
  • Vaishna Pitchai from Tamil Nadu won the second prize and Kanishka Sharma from Rajasthan the third prize.

Union Minister Launched NITI For States Platform

  • Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw launched NITI Aayog’s NITI For States platform New Delhi.
  • It is a cross-sectoral knowledge platform in ten sectors and will serve as a Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) for policy and good governance.
  • It includes a multi-sectoral live repository of 7,500 best practices, 5,000 policy documents, 900+ datasets, 1,400 data profiles, and 350 NITI publications.
  • The platform is accessible through multiple devices including mobile phones, is intuitive and user-friendly.

Airbus Collaborated with IIM Mumbai To Elevate Aviation Training Standards

  • Airbus has signed a contract with the Indian Institute of Management in Mumbai (IIM Mumbai) to provide aviation education to professionals and empower them with industry-ready skills through ‘Airbus Beyond’ programs.
  • The Airbus Beyond program aims to equip participants with comprehensive skills essential for success in various domains within the aviation sector.

Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Ayog And Meta Collaborated to Establish Frontier Technology Labs in Schools

  • Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Ayog And Meta Collaborated to Establish Frontier Technology Labs (FTLs).
  • AIM has established 10,000 Atal Tinkering Labs (ATLs) in schools across 722 districts in India.
  • The objective of ATLs is to foster curiosity, creativity, and imagination in young minds and inculcate skills such as design mindset, computational thinking, physical computing etc.
  • The labs equip youth with digital skills that help them succeed in the evolving landscape of technology and the global economy.
  • The FTLs will be funded by Meta while Atal Innovation Mission will be the knowledge partner.

USIEF Announced Opening of Fulbright-Nehru Fellowship Applications

  • The United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF) has announced the opening of its annual competition for Fulbright-Nehru and other Fulbright fellowships for Indian citizens.
  • It is funded by the Ministry of External Affairs and the U.S. Department of State.
  • USIEF is now accepting applications from Indian citizens for the academic year 2025-26.
  • Indian students, academics, teachers, policymakers, administrators, and professionals can apply.
