Why in News?  

The Ministry of Culture launched the patriotic initiative Ek Desh Ek Dhadkan (One Nation, One Heartbeat) to honour India’s bravehearts and inspire national unity.  

• ‘Ek Desh Ek Dhadkan’: It is a nationwide awareness campaign launched in India to promote understanding and support for organ donation.

• Nationwide Campaign: Ek Desh Ek Dhadkan is actively promoted on digital platforms, highlighting unity and respect for the Indian flag.  
• Widespread Participation: All 43 cultural institutions under the Ministry have enthusiastically joined the campaign, engaging actively within just 48 hours.  
• Tricolour Illumination: More than 60 heritage monuments have been illuminated in the colours of the Tiranga, overseen by the Archaeological Survey of India.  
• Cultural Mobilization: Famous sites and major institutions across India have come together to embrace the campaign’s message of patriotic enthusiasm and national pride.
