Prithvi-II and Agni-I missile tests
- India has successfully test-fired nuclear-capable short-range ballistic missiles Prithvi-II and Agni-I from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur, Odisha, reaffirming its strategic deterrence capabilities.
- The test was conducted by the Strategic Forces Command (SFC) under the Defence Ministry to validate all operational and technical parameters of India’s nuclear deterrence arsenal.
- Prithvi-II: Range ~350 km, Payload up to 500 kg, capable of carrying both conventional and nuclear warheads.
- Agni-I: Range 700–900 km, Payload up to 1,000 kg, an integral part of India’s nuclear deterrence strategy.

INS Sandhayak
- Indian Navy’s first indigenous Survey Vessel Large (SVL), INS Sandhayak, made its maiden port call at Port Klang, Malaysia.
- The visit aimed at hydrographic cooperation under the INHD framework, showcasing India’s role in regional capacity building.
- Commissioned in Feb 2024, the ship can conduct deep-water surveys, oceanographic data collection, and SAR operations with helicopter and hospital support.
- The visit included technical exchanges and knowledge sessions to strengthen maritime ties and promote the MAHASAGAR vision.
